Alan Scott Stapp (nascido em 08 de agosto de 1973) é um americano cantor , e compositor e co-fundador da banda Creed.
Stapp nasceu em 08 de agosto de 1973, em Clinton, na Carolina do Norte. Nascido em um lar cristão e muito rigoroso, Scott Stapp teve seus altos e baixos durante sua jornada musical, mas retorna com força total á busca á Deus.
Stapp se formou Clinton High School e depois se juntou ao Marines E.U.. Ele trabalhou quatro anos e foi lançado em 1999 no posto de cabo. Ele participou Valencia College, em Orlando, Flórida, onde ele ganhou um Associate in Arts.
Depois de desenvolver uma amizade com o guitarrista Mark Tremonti , Stapp e Tremonti decidiram formar uma banda. Depois de recrutar Brian Marshall e Scott Phillips , Creed foi formado em 1995.

Durante o final dos anos 1990 e início de 2000, Creed vendeu três álbuns multi-platina. Em 2004, o Creed anunciou oficialmente a sua dissolução e Stapp começou a trabalhar no seu primeiro álbum solo, The Great Divide , que foi lançado em 2005. Os outros membros do Creed passou a formar Alter Bridge com o ex- Mayfield Four vocalista Myles Kennedy. Em 27 de abril de 2009 Creed anunciaram que iriam lançar um novo álbum. A banda fez uma turnê de 06 de agosto de 2009 a 20 de outubro de 2009, em uma turnê e lançou um novo álbum, Full Circle , em 27 de outubro de 2009.
